CLUB DEMOS and REMOTE DEMOS
I am happy to do demonstrations at woodturning clubs of colouring and texturing work. If you are interested, please contact me. While we are all having to socially distance, I can do live interactive remote demos on Zoom to Woodturning Clubs and their members which can be watched from a PC, a Mac, a mobile phone or a tablet. Contact me for more information about this way of having a demonstration. If you wish to join with another club for an interactive remote demo, please discuss this with me at the point of booking as this attracts a different fee to take into account the larger audience for the demonstration.
I can also offer colouring workshops if you would like to get some hands-on experience of adding colour and texture to your turnings, rather than just watch me doing it. Please get in touch if you'd like to try out some techniques in a one-to-one workshop. More information in the 1-to-1 Workshops section on this page.

Individual Workshops - Colouring and Texturing
If you'd like to spend a day trying out some texturing and colouring ideas, and then complete a platter of your own, I take bookings for individual workshops. These usually take place on Saturdays at my workshop in Brighton. The workshops start at 10.00 and finish about 4.00. You're welcome to arrive from 9.30 onwards. The cost for the full day, including all materials, lunch and snacks is £150.
Contact me if you are interested. If there are no current dates available, send me a message to go on my waiting list and be one of the first to know when new dates come out!
" I thoroughly recommend anyone inspired by Stewart's creations to book a day workshop with him"
"I now have the confidence to try new things and that is all down to your tuition and guidance"
In the morning you'll try out different texturing techniques and decorative paint effects. The amount of turning will depend on you and what previous experience you have. It can be tailored exactly to what you would like. The focus will be on the decorative skills rather the turning ones. This playing with texture and colour should give you some ideas for what you want your final platter to look like and after a lunch and afternoon tea break, you should be the proud creator of a completed platter to take home at the end of the workshop. Available dates are shown in the Workshop Bookings section.
"Stewart, thanks for your friendly, generous, inspiring and just all round brilliant day"
You can even have your colouring and texturing workshop filmed. Get a recording of what you did to refer back to in your own workshop.
"I learned so much today and it was so easy to understand"
