Loving colour has brought so much fun to my woodturning...round and brown does do it for me quite often...but round and bland....nah!! Colour makes things pop and come alive to the eye in a different way. Don't get me wrong, some wood is astonishingly gorgeous as nature made it, but some isn't, and that's ok with me. If you want to surround yourself with natural finish wooden objects, I have no problem with that. I just don't want to do that myself.
So, is everything I texture or colour beautiful? Of course not. I am possibly my own worse critic but I do love it when something just makes me go 'Wow!' and that's not so common as some might think. |
